SUMMARY:Science of Tick-Borne Pathogens and Testing: A Conversation with Pa
 ul Killinger of TickReport
DESCRIPTION:\n\nView the recording of this June 12\, 2024 even on YouTube:
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxMuajuV3Ck\n\nJoin us for a conversation
with Paul Killinger of TickReport whose mission is “To provide a profess
ional tick testing service to public individuals and agencies seeking more
information about the risk of dangerous tick-borne pathogens.” We’ll
talk about the latest research about tick-borne pathogens\, tick safety\,
and so much more. There will be lots of time for Q&amp\;A.\n\nAbout:\nPaul
Killinger has directed education and outreach efforts for the TickReport
testing service since 2018. While much of their research and service is fo
cused close to home in Western Massachusetts\, the TickReport lab regularl
y tests ticks from more than twenty countries across six continents. The l
ab’s approach to passive surveillance of ticks and tick bites provides v
aluable insight on the seasonal activity of ticks\, as well as the geograp
hic distribution of tick species and pathogens.\n\nFor more information ab
out TickReport\, visit their website: https://www.tickreport.com/\n\n
