About Milena Pastore, Founder & Owner Soul Tribe Yoga Collective:
Milena contracted Lyme as a young child from a tick bite while playing in her grandmother’s yard in Boulder, Colorado. She has endured her own debilitating, life-altering experience with tick-borne disease, and understands how devastating its impacts can be. Through the depths of her illness, her study and practice of various yogic concepts and techniques helped her to soothe her body, quiet her mind, and gently maintain strength and flexibility.
Her passion for healing through traditional and modified yogic techniques led and inspired Milena to create Soul Tribe Yoga Collective, an online yoga studio designed for others whose lives have been impacted by various chronic health conditions. The majority of her students have Lyme and other tick-borne diseases.
Soul Tribe Yoga Collective is a culmination of specialized and accessible offerings Milena has designed to help others access healing and community during times of illness, grief and isolation. Her programs are centered on mindfulness, nervous system regulation, vagal toning, lymph drainage, fascial fluidity and energy healing. Milena’s carefully curated flows guide students in experiencing stress relief, rest, and relaxation.
Milena has compiled elements from her study and practice of various asana traditions, including Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Gentle, Kundalini, and Kaiut to create a format that is safe, healing and accessible for those with highly sensitive bodies. Her inclusive programs are offered online as well as in person.
Serving the Lyme and chronic illness communities is a passion and priority for Milena. She has supported the Colorado Tick-Borne Disease Awareness Association, Colorado Lyme & TBD Support Group, Lyme Disease Awareness Month, Health and Human Services (HHS) Tick-Borne Disease Working Group, Lyme Disease Association, Global Lyme Alliance, and the Center for Lyme Action. Moderated by Maria Malaguti, Executive Director Lyme Disease Resource Center, Inc.

Cindy received her M.S. from the University of Massachusetts and is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has completed the Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) course among several other trainings through the Institute of Functional Medicine. She has also received additional training from the School of Applied Functional Medicine (SAFM), Functional Genomics Analysis, Great Plains Laboratory, and regularly attends integrative and functional medicine conferences and seminars. She has over 20 years of experience in women’s health and has provided gynecological care to thousands of patients. Learning firsthand the need for integrative, individualized, and compassionate care after struggling to get a Lyme disease diagnosis, her focus shifted toward working with those individuals who need more guidance and resources to pursue their own wellness.
She recognizes there is no better support than from someone who also struggled to achieve their own health goals. When not interviewing experts on her Living with Lyme podcast, Cindy loves to cook and have her family with her. She enjoys watching the sunset on the beach with a glass of wine, her husband Joe, and their dog Reese.
